Hazardous Waste Disposal

2017 Hazardous Waste Form

At least once a year, the Department of Public Works partners with Waste Management to sponsor a hazardous waste drop off day.

Pre-registration is a must. By doing so, you have a guarantee that your acceptable waste will be taken at your preferred time and your wait will be minimal. Arriving without pre-registration or earlier or later than your appointment time will substantially increase your waiting time. There is a limit up to 25 liquid gallons or 25 solid pounds per household. For more details, please contact the DPW.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection

  • Saturday, October 7, 2017
Sign up in September with a registration form at City Hall offices, Chicopee Electric Light Office, DPW/Water Department Office, or at the Landfill.

Pre-registration is required. This year only those residents who pre-register can participate. Walk-ins will be turned away.

Other Waste Drop-Off Locations

If residents cannot attend on this date, Chicopee has an agreement in place for residents to bring their waste to other towns. Please call ahead to that municipality for information as there may be a fee.
