2018 Chicopee Fireworks Display

Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Szot Park
Rain Date, Sunday, July 1, 2018

In sponsorship with Polish National Credit Union, Westfield Bank and Teddy Bear Pools and Spas, and partially funded by the Chicopee Cultural Council, the annual family friendly event begins with a 6:30 - 9:30 performance by Brass Attack.  The Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 PM that night. 


2018 Free Outdoor Movie Nights at Szot Park



Mark your calendars as this summer once again brings fun and tradition back to Szot! A family friendly event, we welcome all to bring your chairs and blankets to see a movie on our whopping 40 foot screen.  Popcorn and water is free and available while supplies last.  Gates open at 6:30 PM and the movies began just after dusk around 8:30 PM.  The cancellation date for each of the movies is Sunday proceeding the original date.  Cal 594-3481 and hit option 2 if there is inclement weather in the forecast.

"Coco"             

This touching and loving animated story follows a 12-year-old boy named Miguel Rivera who is accidentally transported to the land of the dead, where he seeks the help of his deceased musician great-great-grandfather to return him to his family among the living.  It was chosen as the 2017 National Animated Film of the Year and won Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.  


Friday, August 3-  "Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero"

This sensitive and charming 2018 computer-animated film centers on the real-life Sergeant Stubby, a stray Boston Terrierwho becomes a hero during World War I.  


Friday, August 17-  "Trolls"

This computer-animated musical film follows the Trolls, small creatures who live in an almost perpetual state of happiness, singing, dancing and hugging all day.  The successful movie grossed over $340 million worldwide and garnered an Academy Award.
