The mission of the Chicopee Fire Department is to provide the residents, businesses and visitors of the City of Chicopee with efficient and effective fire protection, fire prevention programs and emergency medical services.

Please note:      Our Fire Prevention Bureau Staff will be available in-house from 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM and from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM or by phone at  413-594-1636 or 413-594-1637  during those hours for the following: 

  • questions related to our online permitting

  • to schedule an inspection related to a permit application

  • for copies of fire reports

If you need to schedule a car seat installation or wish to schedule a group tour or fire safety demonstration, please call 594-1651.

Safety Reminder

The Fire Department wishes to reiterate the International Association of Fire Chiefs safety message "change your clock, change your battery" as a reminder to change your smoke detector batteries when you change your clocks in the spring and fall.
