Eligibility Notice
The City of Chicopee does not offer health insurance to the public. These documents are for current City of Chicopee employees and City of Chicopee retirees only.
Enrollment and Change Information
Employees have 30 days from the date of hire in order to enroll in employee benefits. Changes to enrollment must occur within 30 days of the qualifying event.
Changes in status (including but not limited to marriage, divorce, death of a spouse or child, birth or adoption of a child, loss of coverage through a spouse, or such other events as the City of Chicopee determines will permit a change in enrollment status).
New Employees must work 20.50 or more hours to be eligible for benefits

Benefits include medical, dental, life, eye care and voluntary insurances.

New employees must contact American Fidelity (please see American Fidelity page) representatives in order to sign up for Cafeteria Section 125 plan in order to receive the pretax benefit.
