Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day when those who died during their military service are celebrated, honored, and remembered. 

Memorial Day is traditionally observed on May 30th, but now officially observed on the last Monday in the month of May. ​​

Application packets for the parade have been emailed/mailed to those who have requested them. We are looking forward to receiving your packets before the deadline on Monday, May 6th.

Monday, May 27, 2019- Following the End of the Parade – Memorial Day Ceremony

 This ceremony held at the Veteran’s Memorial Plaza located in front of 1st Sergeant Kevin A. Dupont Memorial Middle School is to honor and celebrate those who have lost their lives during their military service.

Monday, May 27, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. - Gold Star Luncheon (Invite Only)

The term Gold Star family is a modern reference that comes from the Service Flag. The nation recognizes the sacrifice that all Gold Star Family members make when a father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, or other loved one dies in service to the nation. Every year following the ceremony a Gold Stay Luncheon is held to honor these family members.
