License Commission

The Chicopee License Commission is the licensing and enforcement agent for liquor, food service, entertainment, automatic amusements, lodging house and Innholders licenses. It is responsible for the issuing of licenses and enforcing the rules, regulations, local ordinances and state laws pertaining to the above mentioned licenses. The Chicopee Police department is the authorized agent of the License Commission.

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month but are subject to change.

All Applications must be received by the Friday before the scheduled meeting.

Licenses run on a calendar year. Renewal notices are sent out November 1st and must be returned by November 30th.

Types of Liquor Licenses -

Restaurant, General On Premise, Club, Innholder, Package Store, One Day Permits

All applications are available in the License Commission office.

Once a Liquor License application is completed, it must be approved by the local board and then submitted to the ABCC. The ABCC can take anywhere from four weeks to twelve weeks depending on the tax status of the applicant and seller.

ON THEIR PERSON WHILE  WORKING.
